Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans (FBA/BIP)

This course consists of one in-person session and online sessions instructing participants on the FBA/BIP process, using a Response to Intervention (RTI) approach. Participants will identify a student to complete an FBA/BIP. Online assignments will be completed using online videos to guide participants through the entire FBA/BIP process. Participants will be able to understand the purpose, philosophy, and state regulations behind an FBA/BIP and be able to complete an FBA/BIP using the District FBA/BIP Template. Participants will acquire the following skills: data collection of problem behavior, data analysis to guide intervention, establishment and implementation of interventions, and progress monitoring of interventions and student behavior. CLASS SCHEDULE: The first session (in-person) is on January 22, 2013 from 4:15-6:15 pm in Hoover Middle Room 116. Target Audience: Teachers, Administrators, & Mental Health Staff
