DESCRIPTION: The course will provide students with an overview of Google Sheets and Excel. Google Spreadsheets is a web-based spreadsheet application created by Google that allows you to create and edit your spreadsheet files online in real-time with other users. Participants will learn how to use Google Sheets to create GradeBooks, Schedule , To do lists, and Calendars. You will have a solid knowledge of using Google sheets to enhance your classroom. Participants will also learn how to create graphs in excel and link data. A bridge from Excel to Google sheets will be established. In Google Spreadsheets, because your files are stored online: Your data is always backed up, and you don't have to worry about losing it if something happens to your computer You can access your files from anywhere and work from anywhere You and your team can work on any of your files together at the same time across teams, companies and locations. Automatically get upgrades of the software without having to buy it or even install it. LEARNING OUTCOMES: Participants will be able to chart information and graph using Google Sheets and Excel. WHO SHOULD TAKE THIS WORKSHOP? Administrators, Teachers (full and part time), Teacher Assistants, Term Subs., Substitute Teachers, Support Staff Teacher Aides, and Support Staff Clerical who wish to become more proficient in their use of Google Sheets.

I have been a classroom teacher for 17 years in the Business, Computers & Marketing department at Kenmore East High School. I served as the Business CLS for 7 years and currently oversee the KenTon Academies as Coordinator for Finance and Information Technology. I have a Masters degree in Educational Technology and have taught a variety of computer courses at the High School. I have also taught computers at the collegiate level. I enjoy sharing my technology expertise with colleagues.
